A hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Neurosurgeon with training in minimally invasive spine surgery to develop a minimally invasive spine surgery program in Greenville, NC. This is a hospital employed opportunity, the position is available due to expansion. The department is seeking a candidate with at least 2 years of experience and a spine fellowship or equivalent experience.
The Department of Neurosurgery consists of 9 neurosurgeons and 7 nurse practitioners and physician assistants. The facility is the only comprehensive stroke center in eastern North Carolina. The hospital has specialty-trained staff in nursing, neurology, general neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery, vascular and endovascular neurosurgery, complex spine surgery, neuroradiology (including 24/7 in-house neuroradiology coverage), neuro-critical care and neuro-oncology. The department has state-of-the-art equipment including a Medtronic O-arm, Mazor Robot, Airo intraoperative CT, 2 BrainLab systems and 2 Stealth Stations.
