A large private practice on Long Island is seeking a Neurosurgery PA to join their practice. The practice requires previous experience of at least 2 years, ideally neurosurgery experience. The practice prefers NY licensed candidates.
The incoming PA will have a schedule of either three 12 hour shifts or four 10 hour shifts. The three 12 hour shifts will include one night per week. It will be a steady schedule, not rotating. There will be at least one night shift per month. The position is hospital-based, and will have peri-operative responsibilities, including seeing patients in the Emergency Room and rounding on the floors and First Assisting in the Operating room.
The PA will work with different neurosurgeons in the practice. The case break down is approximately 50% First Assist and 50% working at the hospital with patients in the ER. All hospitals are in Nassau County. The practice will offer a competitive compensation package including salary based on experience and full benefit package.
