A hospital in eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a BE/ BC Neurocritical Care Physician to work in their Neuro-ICU. The department will consider both 2022 fellows as well as experienced Neurocritical Care Physicians. The department will consider Neurology trained as well as IM, EM, and Anesthesia.
The schedule is done in 3 month blocks, the incoming Neurocritical Care Physician will have 7 on the first week, 7 off the second week, 3 straight nights the 3rd week, and 2 straight nights the 4th week. The practice will be 80% Neurocritical Care and the NICU during night shifts. The unit is a closed ICU.
This is a clinical opportunity, however there is also opportunity to teach medical students and neurology residents. Currently there is no Neurocritical Care fellowship however the department would like to build one in the future, there are fellowship programs in Surgical Critical Care and Pulmonary Critical Care. The department is a comprehensive and integrated team comprised of neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-rehabilitation and behavioral health with a highly collaborative culture. The facility has a neurology residency program and is a 100-top hospital.
