An Academic Department of Neurosurgery in Texas is seeking a BE/ BC Neurocritical Care physician for a faculty position. The Neurocritical Care physician can be Neurology, Emergency Medicine, or Anesthesiology trained, board eligibility or board certification in neurocritical care is required.
The department has a closed unit Neuro-ICU. There are 3 attendings as well as a community physician that shares in coverage, the unit has 5 mid-levels and a Neurocritical Care fellowship program with a current fellow. The department is a highly regarded neurosurgery program with a strong reputation for research, a multidisciplinary faculty, and innovative training programs.
The incoming candidate will be a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, the department is seeking a candidate with academic interest, including both teaching and research. The department has shared MLPs and a Neuro-ICU. The hospital system includes one Level 1 epilepsy center, one Level 4 trauma center (adult and pediatric), one Level 3 trauma center, and two comprehensive stroke centers.
