A multidisciplinary neurosurgical group in northern New Jersey is seeking a BE/ BC Movement Disorder Neurologist to work directly with their fellowship trained Functional Neurosurgeon who specializes in Deep Brain Stimulation. The position will be full time or maybe part time.
The practice is affiliated with a large Academic Medical Center, the incoming Neurologist will have the ability to work with residents and also have research possibilities. The incoming Neurologist will come in to a 95% movement disorder practice. The Neurologist will evaluate patients suspected of having Parkinson’s and follow them by medicating or making medication adjustments with these patients. The incoming Neurologist will not be on call for the practice, however they will be expected to cover their patients unless they are unreachable, this is done over the phone. If there is surgical issue at night or on weekend, they would refer to the neurosurgeon. The incoming Neurologist will have no ER coverage. There is PA support for the practice.
