Medical Director/Stroke Center Director Neurohospitalist Opportunity

A hospital in East Texas is seeking a BE/ BC Neurohospitalist Neurologist to join an existing program. The position is open due to expansion. The incoming Neurohospitalist will cover one facility, a Level I Trauma center. The department is seeking a Neurohosptialist candidate to also serve as Medical Director/Stroke Center Director.

The department prefers a candidate with fellowship training in vascular, stroke, or as a neurohosptialist. They require at least 2 years of experience. This is a new program that has been designated a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The position is 7 on/ 7 off, with a 16-bed neuro ICU and 16-bed neuro unit. The neurohospitalists take neuro call and do consults within the hospital, which typically has a census around 165-185.
