A hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Neurosurgery Physician Assistant. The hospital prefers a candidate with interest and/ or experience in functional neurosurgery. The incoming PA will be joining a very diverse neurosurgical practice that covers brain, spine and functional. The employed position will include both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities including first assist. The hospital will consider both new grads as well as experienced neurosurgery PAs.
The practice is currently 6 neurosurgeons and 3 APPs. The schedule is M-F with rotating weekends and no night call. The incoming PA will have 2 Outpatient clinic days/week and 2-3 OR days/week, with Inpatient responsibilities that will include OR, rounding with surgeon M-F, inpatient medical management, and communication with consult teams.
