An academic department in Louisiana is seeking a BC/BE Movement Disorders Neurologist for a full-time faculty position. The position will be a full-time faculty position and the candidate will serve as Director of Movement Disorders. The position is open due to the current Director retiring.
The department is seeking a candidate to help in further development of their well established Movement Disorders Center. The Movement Disorder program currently includes an active Parkinson’s disease outreach program, DBS surgery as well as the opportunity for collaborative translational research including clinical trials. The department is also looking to build a Movement Disorders fellowship program.
The successful candidate is expected to have an active role in medical student and Neurology resident education and to participate in the on-call schedule as well as departmental activities including supervision in resident clinics, grand rounds as well as didactic conferences.
