A Houston based hospital is seeking a Dementia/ Cognitive Neurologist to join an existing and well-established Neurology group located in southwest Houston. The department is looking for a candidate with a dementia fellowship or relevant cognitive memory issue experience.
The incoming Neurologist will be hospital employed and join a practice which consists of 6 physicians, 1 neuropsychologist, and 1 psychiatrist. The incoming Neurologist will specialize in Cognitive Neurology including cognitive memory issues, including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, frontotemporal dementia, and other cognitive disorders.
The practice has a strong neuroscience program and marketing support. The schedule is M-F 8-5:00. There is very minimal call, 1:9 weekends, 7 am Saturday until 7 am Monday. The incoming neurologist will receive a dedicated Medical Assistant, Shared Nurse Practioner, Neurotoxin Coordinator to assist with patients who receive injectables, insurance and scheduling staff adds well as the practice has an EMG and EEG tech. Each Neurologist in the practice has 2 patient rooms. The practice has outpatient imaging services including three 3-Tesla MRIs, one Wide Bore 3-Tesla MRI, and one Wide Bore 1.5-Tesla MRI.
