An Academic Institution in Virginia is seeking a BE/ BC Stroke Neurologist at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank (tenure-eligible or tenure-ineligible). The department will consider a 2021 or 2022 fellow or experienced vascular neurologist. Fellowship training is required, telestroke experience is preferred.
Clinical responsibilities include providing telestroke care, acute stroke treatment, and outpatient cerebrovascular care. Experience as Neurohospitalist or Neurocritical care provider would be considered an additional asset. The successful candidate will also be responsible for teaching which includes the oversight of residents and fellows.
Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications and experience. To be considered for the tenure-eligible position, candidates must have a strong interest in a career in academic medicine and demonstrate scholarship and excellence in two domains consistent with the requirements for tenure in the School of Medicine.
