A Department of Neurology in Virginia seeks BE/ BC Neurohospitalist Neurologist to join their Neurology faculty. This is a general Neurohospitalist position however sub-specialty interests can be supported. The Neurohospitalists do not handle stroke as that is covered by the Vascular Neurologists. The department will consider both experienced Neurologists as well as 2021 residents or fellows.
The department can be flexible on the schedule, the goal is 20 weeks of inpatient service, 10 weeks general inpatient and 10 weeks on consult service. The department has numerous collaborative research opportunities. The incumbent will join a division with a long tradition of superior clinical care and research. The division has strong collaborations with multidisciplinary centers as well as strong core labs to support basic science, translational and clinical research.
To be considered for the tenure-eligible position, candidates must have experience in basic or clinical research and a strong interest in a career in academic medicine. To be considered for the tenured position, candidates must demonstrate scholarship and excellence in two domains consistent with the requirements for tenure in the School of Medicine.
