A University in Virginia seeks BE/ BC Movement Disorders Neurology applicants for tenure-eligible Assistant Professor in the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division. The department requires a fellowship in Movement Disorders. The department will consider both experienced Movement Disorder Neurologists as well as 2022 fellows.
Responsibilities include participation in clinical activities, clinical trials, and associated teaching activities in the Movement Disorders Clinic. Applicants with an interest in establishing, or demonstrated ability sustaining, an effective extramurally funded, and independent research program are encouraged. The incumbent will join a division with a long tradition of superior clinical care and research. The division has strong collaborations with multidisciplinary centers as well as strong core labs to support basic science, translational and clinical research.
The Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Division at the University is an interdisciplinary team of movement disorders neurologists, a dedicated nurse practitioner, research coordinators, and collaborating neurosurgeon and neuropsychologists.
