A hospital in coastal New Jersey is seeking a BE/ BC Neurocritical Care Attending to join the department. The schedule is 7 on/ 7 off. The department will consider both experienced Neurocritical Care Neurologists as well as graduating fellows.
Call Coverage: provide 26 weeks of stroke and or general neurology/telestroke coverage for CMC. Given the on-site and per night call requirements. Each one week on will be followed by a post call week as the schedule allows. There is no additional PTO with this role. Daily 8-5 restricted 5pm-8am unrestricted inclusive of northern stroke call via teledoc.
Responsibilities include immediate availability for tele evaluations for stroke via teledoc at northern sites 24/7. The Neurocritical Care Consult Service Attending provides expert neurocritical care consultation for ICU patients with acute neurological or neurosurgical illness at the facility.
This role currently supports a consult-only model, where the medical ICU remains the primary team, and the neurocritical care attending rounds daily to provide subspecialty input for patients requiring neurocritical expertise (e.g., SAH, ICH, LVO, post-op neurosurgical cases, cerebral edema, seizures, etc.).
