A hospital located in northern California is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Comprehensive Stroke to work full time in the Day shift. The Stroke Program Nurse Navigator provides expert nursing consultation and practice oversight, functioning as a liaison between medical staff, nursing staff, family members and support services. The department prefers an experienced candidate, the stroke team is willing to consider an NP with not a lot of NP experience as well as a new grad if he or she has strong ICU, neuro, and ED experience as a nurse.
The incoming NP will provide stroke education, delivery and oversight of patient care, including post discharge follow up.
