A large private practice on Long Island is seeking a Neurosurgery PA to join their practice and work in Suffolk County. The practice requires previous experience of at least year, ideally neurosurgery experience. The practice prefers NY licensed candidates.
The position is available due to growth, the current PA was recently promoted to working with the busiest neurosurgeon in the location. The incoming Neurosurgery PA will work with 1 other Neurosurgery PA. Call is shared, call is paid on top of salary. The position is hospital-based, and will have peri-operative responsibilities, including seeing patients in the Emergency Room and rounding on the floors and First Assisting in the Operating room.
The case break down is approximately 50% First Assist and 50% working at the hospital with patients in the ER. The practice covers only the Suffolk County location; the incoming PA will be credentialed at several hospitals but stationed at one main hospital.
