A School of Medicine in New York is seeking a BE/ BC Neurosurgeon to join the department on the main campus. The incoming neurosurgeon will have a majority of clinical spine with general neurosurgery. The department prefers a candidate with a spine fellowship or equivalent experience. The position is open due to expansion and the department is seeking a candidate to start this year.
This department is the academic practice that provides neurosurgery services to the hospital system. Spine call is overlapped with general neurosurgery call, spine call is also shared with Ortho spine. Call is 1:5, the department also has backup call that follows the week after primary call. Backup call is paid on top of salary.
The facility is a level I trauma center.
