A private practice in Brooklyn is seeking a BE/ BC Neurosurgeon to join their group. The practice is seeking a candidate that has experience and/ or training in both spine and cranial trauma. They will consider both local, experienced neurosurgeons as well as 2020 residents or fellows.
The incoming neurosurgeon will work in the private practice and share call with the other neurosurgeons in the group. The incoming neurosurgeon will work out of 2 facilities exclusively, working 1-2 days at one Brooklyn area hospital and 1-2 days at another Brooklyn hospital per week. Call also includes 2 weekends per month. The practice has been established for over 15 years and currently has neurosurgeons that specialize in trauma, complex spine, skull base, stroke, and general neurosurgery.
The contracts with the hospitals include outpatient, ambulatory, elective and in-house consultation, and ER/ trauma coverage. The incoming neurosurgeon will have a mix of inhouse and elective cases from clinic, there is opportunity to build the practice in either neuro-oncology/ skull base or in complex spine.
The practice will provide a competitive compensation package that includes a base rate and every surgical case above the base rate will be paid on top, as well as a full benefit package including group health, dental, and 401k retirement including spouse and dependent coverage.
