Neurohospitalist Opportunity: No ED or Stroke Call

A Neuroscience Institute in Philadelphia is seeking a BE/ BC Neurohospitalist Neurologist to join the department. This is inpatient only, there is no outpatient component. There is no ED call or stroke, this is a generalist Neurohospitalist position.

The incoming candidate will have a traditional 7 on/ 7 off neurohospitalist schedule. The incoming Neurohospitalist will have inpatient rounding on neurology consults (average of 8-10 per day) with on-call evening/ overnight during 7 on period. The department has remote or on-site support of inpatient stroke alerts (ED stroke alerts handled by vascular interventionalists).

The incoming candidate will have access to tele-neuro platform to provide support remotely when applicable. This will be general neurology however the practice also has opportunities for sub-specialty interests. Research and teaching opportunities are available, however they are not mandatory. The incoming candidate will have opportunities for translational and clinical research, there are also med students currently for potential teaching opportunities if the candidate would be interested in teaching.
