A private practice in central Georgia is seeking a Pediatric Neurosurgeon to join their existing group. Currently the practice does a full range of general neurosurgery including all types of spine, cranial, pediatric, and neuro-oncology. The practice is considering candidates with previous pediatric neurosurgery experience.
The incoming pediatric neurosurgeon will have an approximate starting case mix of 60% pediatric cases and 40% adult cases, as they continue to grow the pediatric program the position will become more pediatric dominant. The practice has an in-house out-patient surgery center. There are currently 6 board certified neurosurgeons on staff, the incoming pediatric neurosurgeon will be the only pediatric neurosurgeon for the practice.
The hospital associated with the practice is building a brand-new, state-of-the-art Children’s Hospital which will be a stand-alone Children’s Hospital. The practice will provide a competitive compensation package for the incoming neurosurgeon, this is a traditional private practice model. The city has several institutions of higher education, as well as numerous museums and tourism sites. The area offers a mild year-round climate and has excellent school systems.
