A hospital in New Mexico is seeking a Pain Management PA to join an existing practice. The department is a multidisciplinary group consisting of neurosurgery, physiatry, and interventional spine. The current practice is a strong group of two Interventional Spine Specialists and a PA.
The hospital’s Spine Center services are offered Monday thru Friday. The schedule consists of 4 ten-hour shifts per week, no weekends, holidays, and no call. An average clinic visit volume would be between 12-18 patients and may include simple outpatient procedures that can be taught with OR time on Fridays.
The incoming PA will see new and follow up visits in clinic and assist in the OR for implants and procedures. The practice has a preference for candidate with surgical assist experience including surgical experience independently closing wounds Interventional spine, joint or neurosurgery related experience preferred.
