A hospital in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado is seeking a Neurosurgery PA to join in it’s physician community as a hospital employee. The facility prefers a candidate with spine training or equivalent experience. Call is 10 days per month, with very few call backs to the hospital.
The Neurosurgery PA will join a very well established neurosurgery group with an existing Neurosurgery PA and two employed neurosurgeons. The facility is a level III trauma center. The facility anticipates a fairly even split between acting as First Assist in the OR and clinic and rounds, most likely in the OR two full days a week and in clinic on average two and a half days a week. Case mix is mostly spine, 90% spine 10% cranial, the spine is 60% out-patient but also includes fusions, trauma, micro disc, etc. The position has PDO hours that accrue at 5.6/80 hours, MSL accrual, gain sharing and longevity pay.
