A hospital on the east coast of Florida is seeking a Neurosurgery PA to join their practice. The practice currently has 4 neurosurgeons and 4 neurosurgery PAs. The practice is seeking someone with at least 1-2 years of experience, they prefer neurosurgery experience but will also consider orthopedic or general surgery experience.
The staff works very well together and the neurosurgery practice has an excellent reputation and referral network. The incoming PA will have a mostly spine case mix, with some complex brain and spine cases. The breakdown will be approximately 20% OR, 40% clinic, and 40% hospital. The hours are M-F with call. The hospital is not a designated trauma center, the incoming PA will share call amongst the current 4 PAs. Physician Assistants take first call, however there is very little trauma, weekend call is compensated on top of salary.
The facility will offer a competitive compensation package including salary, weekend call bonus, and a quality bonus up to $10k additional, as well as a full benefit package.
