A hospital in central New Jersey is seeking a Neuro-Critical Care PA. The department is looking for experienced PAs with training in Acute Care, Neurology, ICU, or Trauma. Surgery experience is not required and the incoming PA will not be required to assist in surgery.
The Neuro-ICU is staffed 24/7, with PAs working 7-7:00 shifts. PAs work 13 shifts in a cycle which is 3-4 shifts per week, approximately 50% being night shifts, there is also 2 weekends required for every 6 week period. The incoming PA will do medical work ups for inpatients, assisting in acute critical care procedures, participating in provision of pre-operative work-up, post-operative care and follow-up, and performing other medical and surgical activities.
