A private practice in Baltimore is seeking a BE/BC neurosurgeon to join its group. The practice enjoys a high volume, and the position is available due to expansion. The incoming neurosurgeon will have the opportunity to build a sub-specialty practice, and will be busy from Day One due to current patient wait times.
Currently the practice is mostly elective spine including degenerative, cervical thoracic, and spine oncology; however, the incoming neurosurgeon can also choose to build other sub-specialties. There is no ER call. Practice call is 1:2, and the incoming neurosurgeon will join a well-established neurosurgeon that has built a strong reputation with his practice over the last several years.
The practice is moving to a larger office that is connected to the hospital. It is a brand-new clinic space and it will have eight patient rooms. The practice also operates a satellite office in Columbia with a strong referral base. The incoming neurosurgeon will start with approximately 200 cases per year, and can build volume in excess of that number if desired, as the volume is there.
The practice is currently operating out of one hospital, which is a 400-plus-bed teaching hospital. The practice will offer employment to the incoming neurosurgeon as he or she gets established, with a full-partnership track of 18 to 24 months.
