A hospital in eastern Pennsylvania is seeking a BE/ BC Endovascular Neurosurgeon to join their department. The department requires dual fellowship training, the facility is opening a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The department will consider both experienced neurosurgeons as well as 2018 fellows.
The position is available due to growth. Call will be 1:2 for endovascular and shared with the 6 neurosurgeons in the department for general neurosurgery call, there will never be simultaneous call for both endovascular and general neurosurgery. The facility has significant need for endovascular and an established and growing endovascular referral network. The hospital is a teaching facility, both research and teaching opportunities are also available through local universities that have neurosurgery residency programs. In the past 2 years the health system has hired 13 neurologists and 2 neurosurgeons. They have just built and opened a brand new state of the art surgical tower and have a dedicated endovascular suite. The facility is currently an advanced Primary Stroke Center and is aggressively looking to developing a Comprehensive Stroke Program. The Neuro-ICU is fully staffed with Neuro-Intensivists.
