A Department of Neurosurgery in south central Texas is seeking an Academic Spine Neurosurgeon to join their department in a full-time faculty capacity. The department requires a spine fellowship and will consider both experienced spine neurosurgeons with an academic interest or 2018 fellows.
Spine call will be taken concomitantly with general neurosurgical call in week long increments but is subject to change, each neurosurgeon faculty member takes a turn. The incoming neurosurgeon will be a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level, the department is seeking a candidate with academic interest, including both teaching and research.
Academic rank, salary and benefits will be commensurate with training and experience. All faculty appointments are designated as security sensitive positions. The department boasts a very large neurosurgery residency program.
