An academic department is seeking a spine neurosurgeon to join the Department of Neurosurgery. The department will consider both 2017 spine fellows as well as experienced academic spine neurosurgeons. Academic rank will be based on experience and qualifications, there are leadership opportunities in the department for the incoming candidate based on experience.
The department has an active program in spine pain management and rehab, members of the department are building a mainly spine service at the university’s VA. The department also has surgeons working with endoscopic spine surgery at an off-campus hospital. The department also has an active clinical and laboratory research efforts.
The department will offer a competitive compensation plan, the basic salary structure is consistent with 50% or better than ACGME norms with a flexible incentive structure related to productivity. This position closely involves medical student and resident education as well as the time and resources to be involved in research.
