A hospital in southern Massachusetts is seeking a Neurosurgery PA or NP to join their Neurosciences and Rehabilitation service line. The facility prefers a candidate with some neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, or general surgery experience, however they will also consider new grads.
The incoming PA or NP will rotate through the inpatient floors, OR, and have some time in an outpatient setting. The incoming PA or NP will perform drain removal, remove/ ad sutures, put in ICP monitors, and external ventricular drains. The incoming candidate will receive several months of onboarding with both education and mentoring.
Call will be 1:6 or 1:7 for night call, by phone, and APPs are rarely called in. This is an excellent educational opportunity with mentoring and ATLS training. The practice is currently a collegial team of Neurosurgeons, Physicians, and PAs that work well together in a supportive environment.
