A hospital in central Houston is seeking a CV Surgery Physician Associate to work out of the main campus. The department is looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of experience as a PA-C and experience in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting.
This position will work in both inpatient and outpatient settings and can perform independently under the license of a physician or as part of a treatment team. The Surgical PA position will take call, shared with the other APPs in the practice, call is currently 1:7 and will grow to 1:9, call is paid on top of salary. The position will be a mixture of clinic and OR, the schedule is four 10 hour shifts per week, 7:00 am- 5:00 pm.
There are 10 surgeons in the department and 7 cardiac surgeons. The incoming Physician Associate will work with several surgeons within the practice.
The facility will provide a competitive compensation package including salary, call paid on top of salary, full benefits, and paid relocation. Texas has no state income tax.
