A private practice located in the Bay area is seeking a BE/ BC Neurosurgery PA to join their practice. The practice will consider both experienced PAs as well as new grads. Ideally they are looking for someone with ties to Walnut Creek/ the Bay area.
The practice is very reputable and well established within the Walnut Creek community. The incoming PA will have call of 1:5, call is one week every 5 weeks. While not on call the PA will have a mix of office and OR, approximately at 45% clinic and 55% OR. There is no home call and the PA will not get called in to middle of the night cases. The incoming PA will work primarily with 1 neurosurgeon in the practice.
The case mix is general neurosurgery with emphasis on spine, most of the cases at the surgery center are outpatient spine. The incoming PA will work out of one facility in Walnut Creek, the practice also has ownership in a surgery center which is approximately 1 mile from the hospital. The hospital is a level II trauma center.
