A private practice in northern California is seeking a BE/BC neurosurgeon to join its group. The group has been in the northern California community for over 30 years and has an outstanding reputation. The practice will consider either a 2015 resident or fellow or an experienced neurosurgeon. They prefer a candidate with a spine fellow or equivalent spine experience.
The group has a preference for a candidate with spine training or interest, as the current case mix is approximately 75% to 80% spine and 20% to 25% cranial. The spine component is mostly elective procedures; however, the incoming neurosurgeon will also share in call at the affiliated hospital. Call will be 1:4 for hospital call and 1:2 for practice call.
The incoming neurosurgeon will specialize in spine but also round out their practice with general/cranial neurosurgery. The incoming neurosurgeon will have a one-year guarantee in conjunction with a one-year partnership track. This is a traditional private practice model, in which the neurosurgeon has the opportunity to create a robust patient base and revenue stream.
The area has a population/catchment area exceeding two million residents, and offers a pleasant, warm year-round climate. It is situated approximately one hour from the California coast. The community offers many year-round recreational opportunities, as well as many cultural actives including shopping, fine dining, performing arts and golf.
