A hospital in northern Houston is seeking a BE/ BC Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join their existing cardiac group. The practice currently has 3 employed CV surgeons as well as cardiologists. The position is open due to expansion. The department prefers a candidate with at least 3-5 years of experience.
The department prefers a candidate with experience in TAVR, ideally the facility is looking for a Structural Heart and TAVR experienced physician. The incoming CTS Surgeon will have a cardiac case mix of bypass, valve, aorta, endovascular AAA, carotids, Echmo etc. This is a clinical position however the hospital system has a research institute, clinical research opportunities are welcome with full support. The current surgeons are doing about 30-35 cases per month.
