Academic Neurosurgery Opportunity: Spine/ Trauma

A neurosurgery department in central Texas is seeking a neurosurgeon for a position in the department. The department prefers a candidate with interest and/ or training in spine and trauma. The incoming neurosurgeon will work at the department in San Antonio as well as the VA, with 75%/ 25% split between the VA and the university.

There are no research or teaching requirements, however the incoming neurosurgeon will have full access to the department resources at the department of neurosurgery.  The department is seeking a candidate with academic interest. The department’s research labs, headed by an outstanding PhD researcher, are equipped for in-depth studies of ischemia, neuroprotection, cell cultures, brain and spinal cord injury and molecular genetics research of the cranial facial skeleton.
