A hospital in the Philadelphia suburbs is seeking a BE/BC neurosurgeon to join an existing hospital-based private practice. The facility prefers a candidate with a strong interest in spine, general neurosurgery, and trauma. This position involves general adult neurosurgery and neurosurgical trauma care.
The incoming neurosurgeon must be comfortable with a broad range of adult neurosurgical procedures and management of neurosurgical trauma patients. A spinal fellowship or experience in a facility with complex spinal surgery services is preferred.
The hospital enjoys a strong reputation and loyal patient base, and all physicians and specialists participate in sharing referrals. The group currently has only one neurosurgeon, and call for the incoming neurosurgeon will be 1:2.
The facility is offering a competitive recruitment package including a residency stipend, medical education debt reimbursement, a sign-on bonus, productivity incentives, CME allowance and relocation. The suburb is located 30 minutes from Philadelphia, and offers the amenities and lifestyle of a suburb with easy access to the city center, New York City and Washington, D.C. The hospital is the sole community hospital in the area, which is a high-growth area with a stable employment base.
