Hospital in Pennsylvania is seeking four neurologists to expand its stroke services, including two BE/BC cerebrovascular/stroke-trained neurologists and two BE/BC neuro-critical care-trained neurologists. These positions are both available due to growth and expansion of services.
The hospital currently has a stroke team including a radiologist and a neuro-interventional radiologist. The hospital has an existing patient load and need for an enhanced stroke program. The facility prefers candidates with some academic and research interest, however, this is a primarily clinical opportunity.
The facility will provide a competitive salary and generous benefit package, including relocation, signing bonus, malpractice, and education loan reimbursement. The hospital has a Joint Commission Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center with a Level II trauma center and is aggressively involved in developing a Comprehensive Stroke Program.
The Stroke Center has a highly active, multidisciplinary stroke team, state-of-the-art stroke unit, dedicated neuro beds in the ICU and a technologically advanced endovascular treatment program for stroke patients. The facility envisions developing a Neuro ICU with the anticipated growth of the neuroscience program.
The area has a very strong payor mix and offers significant opportunity for growth of neurosciences and stroke services. Excellent schools and colleges, and a multitude of cultural, recreational, shopping and sporting attractions are available in the vicinity.
