A health system in western Pennsylvania is seeking a BE/ BC Neurosurgeon to serve as Medical Director of Neurosciences. Clinically they are looking for the Medical Director to specialize in spine, a spine fellow is preferred. The Medical Director will have an estimated 8-10 hours of administrative duties per month in addition to a clinical spine/ general neurosurgery practice.
The Medical Director of the Neuroscience Service Line is responsible for providing clinical direction and leadership in carrying out the purpose of the Neuroscience Service Line, including Neurosurgeons and Neurologists. The optimal candidate is an experienced leader who is a fellowship trained practicing spine neurosurgeon with excellent interpersonal and clinical skills. Proficient clinical skills for elective spinal surgeries, complex trauma spine/ cranial surgeries, cranial tumor resections, and skull base surgery for aneurysm repairs are required.
