A private neuroscience institute in the Philadelphia area is seeking two BE/BC neurosurgeons to join its hybrid practice. The group plans to hire a spine neurosurgeon and a second neurosurgeon to specialize in tumors. The positions are clinical; however, there is a full appointment at a local university and teaching hospital.
The incoming neurosurgeons will take call at one to two hospitals maximum in the Philadelphia area. Call is one week at a time, 1:4, with 1:3 practice call. The group will develop both a spine and neuro-oncology fellowship program. The incoming neurosurgeons will help to start the fellowship programs, which will be fully accredited through the university, and will also teach. Clinical research opportunities are also available. The incoming neurosurgeons will be allowed full sub-specialization focus in their respective clinical areas.
The new neurosurgeons will be employed through the practice, which will offer will offer a very competitive compensation plan based on MGMA benchmarks. The plan features a generous opportunity for volume-based incentive and a full benefit package. The university will serve as the academic and research hub for the practice.
